PROJECT BRIEF

We were commissioned to create a series of new performance screen graphics for Ed Sheeran’s Loop Tour, expanding and evolving the visual language across the live show.

We were commissioned to create a series of new performance screen graphics for Ed Sheeran’s Loop Tour, expanding and evolving the visual language across the live show.

The brief was to deliver stadium-scale visuals that could sit comfortably alongside Ed’s performances, enhancing the narrative of each track and triggered by his loop pedal. We developed a broad palette of styles, from cosmic environments and painterly textures to lyric-driven moments, allowing each track to feel unique.

Several tracks were refreshed or reworked to scale up for larger screens, increasing clarity and impact while preserving their original character. Throughout, the graphics were designed to breathe with the performance, building naturally with the music and supporting both quiet and high-energy moments.

Thinking Out Loud’s visuals centre on the song’s emotive lyrics, featuring contemporary dancers layered against a minimal, dreamlike background. Key lines are projected onto bodies and moments of movement.

For Dive, the graphics move from intimate detail to vast cosmic scale. Particle-based visuals gradually pull back to reveal Ed’s likeness, created using 3D scanning, giving the performance a sense of progression from closeness to epic space.

Camera uses stylised footage from the music video treated to feel like old film or a vintage slideshow. Landscapes, intimate moments, and lyric references blend together in a warm, nostalgic palette.

The Galway Girl graphics take the form of a vibrant 2D scrapbook collage. Playful doodles, torn paper effects, and lyric overlays bring humour and energy to the performance, unfolding like a visual journey through Galway.

For Slowly, the graphics feature a geometric, cubist-style pattern with a distressed, painterly feel. Key lyrics and motifs are woven into the visuals, building in colour and complexity before gently dissolving.

The visuals for Give Me Love draw on cosmic energy, blending drifting particles, nebula-like textures, and cinematic lighting. Deep indigo and purple tones develop into turquoise and green, triggered by the loop pedal that builds with the track.
